Eight firefighters wore breathing apparatus to get close enough to fight the flames.

Three jets of water were fired across the premises in a bid to quell the spread of the fire.

Crews from Oldbury, Tipton, Dudley, West Bromwich, Smethwick, Brierley Hill and a team manning an hydraulic platform from Walsall fire station are at the scene.

Reporter Jamie Brassington has been at the scene.

Fire crews established a safety cordon to ensure other businesses could remain open.

But a large section of the road was closed off to traffic due to the operation.

Neighbouring businesses owners say their firms have been affected today as fire crews had to turn off their electricity.
