Emergency services called to reports of boy in Darlaston canal
Emergency services were called to reports of a young boy in a Darlaston canal.

The incident, on Wolverhampton Street, was spotted by a passer by who saw the child, jump from the bridge into the canal on Friday evening.
He was not seen exiting the water. However, the incident was later confirmed as a false alarm.
West Midlands fire, police and ambulance services were in attendance and searching the water.

At 11pm, half of the agreed search area had been covered as emergency services continue to work their way through the water.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Fire said: "A multi-agency briefing was held between the emergency services and an action plan is being formulated to conduct the search of the water.
"As of 23:02, 50 per cent of the agreed search area had been undertaken but continuing the area.
"Canal banks and paths have been searched."
