Seven injured as van crashes with taxi in Wolverhampton
Seven people were left injured after a white van collided with a taxi in Wolverhampton in the early hours of the morning.
The incident happened around 1.20am on Dovedale Road in Ettingshall Park.
The driver of the van fled the scene according to West Midlands Fire Service.
One fire engine attended from Bilston fire station while a brigade response vehicle attended from Wolverhampton fire station. Eight firefighters attended in total.
A spokesman for WMFS said: "This was an RTC between a taxi and a white private van. There were seven casualties in total and they were all walking wounded.
"The van driver fled the scene. The fire crews made the taxi safe but left the van for forensics for the police.
"Police attended along with the ambulance service and a doctor."
