Four injured as smash closes busy Walsall road

Four people were taken to hospital following a crash that saw a busy road blocked off late on Friday night.

The two car collision took place at around 21.40pm in Bloxwich Road, Walsall.

The crash involved a Citroen Saxo and an other unknown car, resulting in four people being treated for minor injuries.

The two men and two women were treated for cuts and bruises before being taken to Walsall Manor hospital as a precautionary measure.

West Midlands police confirmed that they were called to the scene at 21.48pm by the ambulance service.

West Midlands fire service also attended the scene. No one was trapped in their vehicles and all had been successfully evacuated from their cars by the ambulance service.

The road was reopened once the vehicles were recovered from the scene.
