Car smashes into Cradley traffic lights

A car crashed into a set of traffic lights in Cradley in the early hours of this morning.

Emergency services attended to a Toyota that had into the lights on Chapel House Lane at around 12.45am.

No one was reported injured or trapped in the vehicle.

Brierley Hill Fire had tweeted to say the driver and passenger walked away from the scene.

One fire-engine-crew was sent out from Brierley Hill to the scene, and both police and ambulance crews were in attendance.

West Midlands Fire Service spokesman Matthew Smith said: "One vehicle was in a collision with a set of traffic lights.

"Crews from Brierley Hill made the vehicle safe."

Pictures from the scene showed fire crews working on the front of the blue Toyota, which had its bonnet lifted up.
