Van crashes into post box in Netherton

A driver escaped with minor injuries when his van smashed into a post box in Netherton today.

Two vans collided at the junction of Griffin Street and Marriott Road at about 5.30am. One of the vehicles ploughed into a post box, nearly knocking it over.

Neither male driver was badly injured.

Watch commander Danny Hines, of Brierley Hill Fire Station, said: "Luckily there was no-one walking past at the time. It could have been much worse if there was a postman there doing his job."
