Six injured in Walsall crash

Six people were injured when three cars collided in Walsall.

A man in his 50s was trapped inside one of the cars, before being released and treated for a suspected fractured pelvis and taken to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

His passenger, in his late 40s, was treated at the scene for a head injury before being taken to Walsall's Manor Hospital.

A second car involved in the crash, which happened on Lichfield Road, Shelfield, at around 10.20pm yesterday, was carrying two men and a woman all believed to be in their 20s.

The driver was left with a fractured arm and taken to the Manor, while the woman was taken to the same hospital suffering from head pain.

The second man did not need hospital treatment.

A man in the third car, who is believed to have been in his 50s, was left with neck and abdominal pain. He was treated at the scene and taken to New Cross Hospital,
