Fire crews were called to Landlords Sales & Lettings on Paget Street in Whitmore Reans at around 9.30pm last night.

It came following a call from a member of the public who saw the door on fire.

West Midlands Fire Service said the blaze, which was out when crews from Wolverhampton Fire Station attended, is being treated as arson.

Police are investigating.

One man, who didn't wished to be named but said his family ran the business, said petrol had been used to start the fire.

He said: "One of the neighbours said they saw someone pour petrol under the the letter box and set it on fire.

"They called 999 and then called me. I can't believe it really. I don't know what you can say or why someone would target us. We're a family run business."
