Bones in bag found by workmen in Bilston belonged to animal

Bones discovered in a bag in bushes in Wolverhampton today belonged to an animal, police have revealed.

Police were called after workmen made the discovery, at Highfields Road, Bilston.

Amos Price said he found the bag at around 11.50am today while clearing land in preparation for a new housing development.

He told the Express & Star the discovery 'looked like a human rib cage'.

But this afternoon, West Midlands Police took to Twitter to draw a close to the case.
