Child among five injured in Dudley crash
A child was among five people taken to hospital following a head-on smash involving two cars.
The 14-month-old suffered a minor head injury in the crash at the junction of Peartree Lane and Hulbert Drive in Dudley shortly after 7.30pm last night.
The youngster was taken to Russells Hall Hospital along with his mother, a woman in her 20s, who was driving a Peugeot. She suffered chest pain.
The passenger in the woman's car, a man in his 20s, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with a suspected fractured pelvis.
Two men in a Citroen, which also hit a wall and a set of gates to a factory, suffered minor injuries. They were taken to Russells Hall as a precaution. They were both in their 20s.
Three ambulances, police and two fire crews attended the scene. Officers closed off the road for treatment and to clear the damage.
Brierley Hill Crew Commander Peter Cherrington said: "It was a nasty crash and we hope all involved are okay."
Emergency services took to Twitter to publish images of the scene.
