Road closes in Sedgley after driver hits horse

A motorist hit a horse on a major route and then drove off, causing a road to close.

The accident happened on Gospel End Road, in Sedgley, at around 5.30pm yesterday.

Police closed Gospel End Road at its junction with Penn Road and reopened the route at 6.50pm.

Police said that the horse had suffered two broken legs after being hit by a vehicle, which then left the scene.
