Tailbacks as car hits central reservation in Great Barr
A car smashed into a central reservation and lamp post on a busy dual carriageway today, causing heavy traffic in Great Barr

The black Alfa Romeo, which is believed to have been carrying a man, woman and child, struck the lamp post on Newton Road outside the Malt Shovel pub just before midday.
The accident caused tailbacks of around a quarter of a mile in both directions, with only one lane is open on either carriageway while the car and debris are cleared.
It is thought that one man has been arrested following the crash.
