Probe launched after man's body found near Wednesbury shops
Detectives are investigating the death of a man who was discovered in a storage area behind shops in Wednesbury.
Police were called to Spring Head in the town by the ambulance service, where the 38-year-old had suffered a cardiac arrest.
An initial post mortem on the man, who has not yet been formally identified, wasinconclusive.
Detective Inspector Tom Chisholm, from force CID, said: "At 4.42pm on Saturday police were alerted by the ambulance service to a man in cardiac arrest in a storage area behind shops in Spring Head, Wednesbury.
"Post mortem examination proved inconclusive and further toxicology tests will take place in due course. Detectives continue to investigate the death."
West Midlands Ambulance Service could not save the man's life despite the efforts of paramedics.
