Man, 21, critical after Streetly car smash

A man has been airlifted to hospital with 'potentially life-threatening' injuries after a car crash.

The 21-year-old crashed his car in the Streetly area of Birmingham just before 12.15pm yesterday.

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Staffordshire were sent to the scene on Hardwick Road near Sutton Park.

The man was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

He remains in a critical condition.
