Parked cars damaged in Quarry Bank vehicle smash
Parked cars were damaged and a wall outside a house smashed after a car flipped over following a severe crash along a Black Country road in the early hours of today.
Police and paramedics were called to Thorns Road, Quarry Bank, at around 1.06am today to find a Renault hatchback on its roof.
It had collided with three parked up vehicles before coming to rest near the driveway of a house following the collision with a Volkswagen Polo.
Fire crews today said most of the occupants had fled the scene but two people had been treated for minor injuries.
Residents along the road today spoke of their shock over what had happened.
One resident, who did not wish to be named, said they had been awoken by the loud crash.
She said: "I have never seen anything like it. It was a very serious crash and I cannot believe that anyone walked away from it.
"The car came to rest near our drive but thankfully did not cause any damage to our own car. Unfortunately some of our neighbours were not so lucky and there has been serious damage to their vehicles and a small outside wall outside one of the homes."
Watch Commander Nick Lacey, of Brierley Hill Fire Station said: "We did not have to cut anyone from the vehicles and as a matter of fact a number of occupants had fled the scene."
