It is believed the rider clipped the pavement before his off-road bike flipped over on the junction of Overfield Drive and Porthouse Grove, Bilston.

Neighbours said the man involved in the crash was in his early 20s and had suffered grazes but was unable to stand up and walk afterwards.

Shirley Bowman, a retired nursing home cleaner living nearby, and a mother of four, said: "It's normally a quiet area – this is the first time I've seen a quad bike accident."
