Woman rescued from Tipton fire
An elderly woman was helped from her flat by staff at a sheltered housing block in Tipton, after pans caught fire on the stove.

Fire crews from Tipton and Dudley were called to Swallowfields on High Street at 9.30am today after reports of a fire.
They found pans on the stove wells alight, and the flat was severely smoke logged.
Staff at the block had already led the occupant of the flat to safety, once the crews had arrived.
They put out the blaze and cleared the smoke.
