Youths are sought in Hednesford sawmill blaze probe

Police are trying trace a group of young people seen near the scene of a suspected arson attack at an old Hednesford sawmill.

Three warehouse buildings at the former sawmill in Wimblebury Road were gutted in the blaze.

Around 25 firefighters were called to the disused buildings just after 6pm on Tuesday and battled for more than three hours to bring the flames under control.

Fire investigators have examined the scene and it is believed the blaze was started deliberately.

Officers believe the group of youths seen in the area could hold vital information.
