Driver cut free after car hits kerb and crashes into wall

A man was cut from his car and taken to hospital after it hit a kerb and spun out of control in Wolverhampton.

The silver car was travelling towards The Bradmore Arms pub,in Broad Lane, Finchfield, when it clipped the kerb, neighbours said.

The collision sent the car flying into the air before hitting a wall outside the Smarty Pants store on the opposite side of the road.

The car eventually came to rest diagonally across the road.

Fire crews from Wolverhampton and Tettenhall attended the scene and cut the roof off the car to free its male driver so he could be driven to hospital by ambulance.

It happened at around 9pm yesterday.
