Crews from Stourbridge, Bilston and Cradley Heath were called to T and M Engineering, in Oak Lane, Kingswinford, at around 8.25pm yesterday.

They arrived to find the waste, which was outside, well alight. Firefighters used two main water jets to extinguish the fire. Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control but remained at the scene throughout the night.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Fire Service today said it was likely crews would also have to monitor the situation over the next few days in case the fire started up again. She said it was not yet known what had caused the fire as investigations were still to be carried out.
