The red Kia hatchback ended up on its side in Wolverhampton Road, close to Mr Tyre at about 7.30am.
It knocked over a lamppost and there was broken glass and debris strewn across the road.
The driver of the car was a man in his 40s.
By the time a fire crew and paramedics arrived he had got out of the vehicle and did not appear to be injured. He was checked over at the scene.
Police closed the road for half an hour while the car was moved.
