Firefighters free driver after bridge crash

Firefighters cut the roof off a car after it crashed into a bridge in Pelsall.

The middle aged woman occupant complained of neck pain after the accident which caused minimal damage to the Vauxhall Astra she was travelling in.

She was taken to Walsall Manor Hospital by ambulance for a check up but was not thought to be badly hurt.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident which happened on Pelsall Lane near its junction with Walsall Road around 3.30pm on Saturday.

Pelsall Road was closed for around an hour as a result.
