Caravan destroyed in blaze near Bilston homes

A caravan was destroyed after a fire broke out in Bilston today.

The blaze broke out on land behind homes in Beckett Street at about 11.45am, where three caravans are sited.

A fire crew from Bilston and two from Tipton were called to the scene after a number of residents raised the alarm.

West Midlands Fire Service said the caravan was completely destroyed.

Three propane cylinders were also alight but firefighters did not believe there was a risk of explosion.

The blaze was believed to have been caused by an electrical fault
