Commuters hit by rush-hour crashes

Two rush-hour crashes in Staffordshire caused traffic problems today.

The first was on the A34 The Fillybrooks in Stone near to the junction of the A520.

One lane was blocked between Eccleshall Road and Yarnfield Lane after the smash involving two cars.

And in Stafford on the A518 Brick Kiln Lane another accident caused tailbacks.

Meanwhile, it also emerged today that the busy Black Country Route will be closed overnight on Sunday at the Spring Vale Island while the road is resurfaced.
