In West Bromwich Hall Green Road, Rydding Lane, Great Gable Road, Scafell Way and Wiltshire Way were hit, while in Wednesbury, arsonists struck at Tame Crossing.

Watch commander Mick Goode, from Wednesbury fire station, said: "We have had a spate in the Wednesbury and West Bromwich areas, with around 10 bin fires throughout the night, which is a waste of our resources.

"Household wheelie bins left out for collection were targeted as well as a couple of steel bins, which are for shop waste."

All the bins were destroyed.
