Police car on call in smash in Walsall
A police car on its way to a suspected robbery collided with another car in Walsall, in one of a number of crashes on the region's roads.
The smash happened in Rushall along the Lichfield Road at the junction of Station Road. A police investigation has been launched.
The driver of a Kia Rio, a man aged 64, and the two officers are not thought to have been injured. It happened yesterday at around 1.20pm.
West Midlands Police spokesman Peter Edney said: "At this stage it appears the police car was using lights and sirens at the time of the incident."
Motorists were delayed by up to 50 minutes after an accident between a truck and a car on the M6 at 2.30pm.
It closed two lanes northbound between junctions 14 and 15.
Meanwhile, a man was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in Quinton Road, Harborne, Birmingham at 10.20pm last night.
