Lorry sheds metal on Darlaston road

A lorry shed metal pieces onto a busy road in Darlaston today, causing traffic to build up during rush hour.

Police were called at around 8.56am to the A4038 Walsall Road, which was closed both ways at Heath Road for a short while.

The incident was quickly cleared up and the partial blockage of the road was cleared before 9.30am.

Walsall Council was notified and a street inspector was sent to the scene.
