A worker who died after being crushed between two vehicles at a Pensnett recycling yard was today named as Mark Peter Shore.

A worker who died after being crushed between two vehicles at a Pensnett recycling yard was today named as Mark Peter Shore.

The 42-year-old, of Zaria Court, Wordsley, was working as a driver at R Davies Metals in Smithy Lane when the accident happened at 4.50Aam on June 19.

Deputy Black Country Coroner Andrew Thompson opened and adjourned Mr Shore's inquest at Smethwick Coroner's Office yesterday.

Neighbours have paid tribute to Mr Shore.

Pensioner Elizabeth Mapp, 72, said: "He had been living here for about a month and whenever I saw him he was friendly and had the time for a quick chat.

"He was such a nice man."

The Health and Safety Executive is investigating.
