Two members of the squad were even been talent spotted by England talent scouts at the championship, organised by Rounders England and played at Leicester Univresity Sports Ground.
Squad members Serina Basra and Katie Evans were two Year 7s competing against older competitors. And Serina and teammate Jordan Russell have both been asked to compete in the next round of England trials.
Katherine Dyer, Head Rounders Coach for Wolverhampton Grammar School said "The number of schools entering this national competition has really gathered pace over the last few years.
"Well done to everyone in the team, they are national champions."
Carrie Bennett, Director of Marketing and Communications for the school, was equally as delighted.
She said: "This is a testament to the girls involved. It's an unbelievable achievement to be recognised as the best rounders team nationally. The school is proud of them but more importantly they should be proud of themselves.
"They overcame a very good Manchester team in the finals and have worked very hard to get to where they are. The girls can compete just as well as the boys and doesn't this just prove it."
Rounders is played in over 89 percent of schools, and Rounders England has over 550 member schools on their database, a number that is increasing year on year.
