Willenhall school expansion plans set to be backed
Plans to introduce more than 25 extra nursery places at a school in Willenhall look set to be backed by councillors.
Woodlands Academy of Learning, based on Bloxwich Road North, put forward the proposals to build a modular building to serve as a day nursery.
It would see a total of 26 spaces for children, aged between two and four, introduced as part of the school to boost its "overall development".
Residents say the move could lead to parking issues – and fear it could lead to a much larger development in future.
Planning officers said there would only be a minor impact by approving the expansion at the school, which currently caters for around 470 children.
Walsall Council is set to decide on the issue at a virtual meeting of the planning committee on Thursday.
