Staff and students from Northwood Park Primary School in Bushbury have made their own version of on Disney's Frozen's Let It Go titled 'Be a hero. Stay at Home'.

The idea came from deputy headteacher, Julie Grice, whose husband has tested positive for coronavirus earlier this week.

Headteacher Alan Rogers said: "It didn't take her long to re-write the lyrics, I think it just took her one night and it's her two children Zak and Ziah who are singing in the video.

"The message is even more personal to her and the family as her husband is still battling coronavirus."

Julie had already been self-isolating before she found out her husband was positive for Covid-19.

The music video, which has been shared on the school's social media pages, features pupils and staff sharing positive messages and reinforcing the government's advice to stay at home to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Since schools across the country were closed last week, teachers from the Collingwood Road school, part of the Shine Academies Trust, have been working hard to keep everyone connected while social distancing.

Mr Rogers added: "We have been encouraging our school community to send videos and pictures of them at home so we can keep connected.

"So far we have received hundreds of them and had so many positive comments, we want to lift the spirits of people in Bushbury.

"The video spreads the message that just because we are not working in the same place we are working together and gives people a reason to smile.

"We are so proud to be part of this school's community."
