The new building at Netherton Park Nursery will be adjacent to the existing site, and will provide space for more than 80 children.

It will be an L-shaped building and an area of open space will also be provided.

The plans were approved last year by Dudley Council.

It was approved despite 40 letters of objection, many over the loss of open space and a lack of parking.

But support also came in from 50 people. They said the proposal was needed for children in the area, and it would create jobs.

Diggers are on the site of the development, preparing for building work.
