Students were due to return on Tuesday but heating problems forced bosses at RSA Academy to shut the school.

RSA Academy, based on Bilston Road in Tipton, was able to fix the heating problems on Tuesday and the school re-opened today.

The school announced the closure on its website and offered its apologies but said the problem had been fixed.

A statement on the website said: "The Academy will be open as normal from tomorrow, the problem with the heating system has been resolved.

"Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience."
