Margot James MP is hosting her fourth Universities Outreach Event at the Glasshouse College in Stourbridge.

It is being held on Friday April 29 and the 'university fair'-style event is part of the MP's 'Raising Aspirations' programme, which gives local young people the chance to participate in a series of workshops, seminars and networking fairs – all designed to inspire them to fulfil their potential.

The event will take place from 5pm to 7pm and will be a chance for students to network with a number of leading universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Birmingham, Lancaster and Southampton.

Past events have seen a large turnout, with both students and parents giving positive feedback on both the diversity of institutions attending and the information on offer.

Speaking about the event, Margot said:"I started the programme back in 2012 to raise the aspirations of local young people.

"Whether going to university, becoming an apprentice or training for a job, I want everyone in Stourbridge thinking about their future career to fulfil their potential. I am very much looking forward to meeting local students and parents at this event, which I hope will be incredibly helpful for them."
