Young rugby fans get royal treat at Six Nations
Lucky students from two Sandwell schools had a date with Rugby royalty - as they met Prince Harry before England's victorious win over Wales.
As part of the 2012 CBRE All Schools Project, in partnership with the Rugby Football Foundation, young people from 750 secondary schools have been given increased opportunity to play rugby.
And part of the project saw pupils from Great Barr School and Tipton's Ace Academy have a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet the Prince at Twickenham and chat away about the sport they love. He was joined by Jason Leonard, head of the Rugby Football Union.
PE teacher at Great Barr School, Chris Brickwood, was just as delighted to meet Prince Harry as were Year 7 students, Max and Neve Jones.
He said: "It was a great day. We had 15 students from our school and 15 from Ace Academy, but only two from each could meet him.
"We were only told two days before we would be meeting a 'national VIP'. I'd guessed it could possibly have been Prince Harry, but it was fantastic when he turned up.
"The kids were so excited, he was great with them, chatting away about their favourite players and what positions they play. It was lovely to see how down to earth he was, he made everyone feel at ease and was laughing and joking about.
"I don't think Max has ever been more excited and both loved doing the guard of honour before the match.
"We all enjoyed the day, topped off by a great victory over our Welsh neighbours."
Headteacher at Ace Academy, Rob Grover tweeted his pride two of his students meeting the prince.
England beat Wales 25-21 to claim the Six Nations trophy for the first time in five years.
