New headteacher for Wednesbury school
A new headteacher has been appointed at a school in Wednesbury.
Leigh Moore has taken over the reins at Wodensborough Ormiston Academy on Hydes Road, replacing Stephen Lanckham following his move to Windsor High School in Halesowen.
Ms Moore was previously deputy senior headteacher at the Oldbury Academy.
She said: "I am passionately committed to improving the life chances of young people in Sandwell and am excited by the prospect of leading Wodensborough into the next stage of its development.
"I have an unwavering commitment to providing life changing opportunities for young people and their communities. I benefitted from a hugely supportive secondary school education, which was the springboard for my subsequent academic achievements and I returned to teach in Sandwell to give something back."
