For those who answered 'yes' then construction apprenticeships might be just the ticket.

Future Skills Sandwell and Think Local are part of Sandwell Council's Regeneration and Economy Division.

Based in Rolfe Street, Smethwick, Future Skills has a long successful record of apprenticeship training and delivery within the council, going back more than 40 years.

Future Skills offers apprenticeships and training within the areas of brickwork, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating and plastering.

But that's not all – the teams are able to offer so much more and also deliver apprenticeships in many other occupational areas, such as administration, customer services and warehousing as well as performing manufacturing and engineering operations, education and childcare to name a few. Future Skills and Think Local secure employment opportunities and work experience placements for apprentices, as well as providing regular additional mentoring support for students and guidance for employers. In addition to the full apprenticeship framework the team can offer bespoke training qualifications in health and safety, first aid, and Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) card certification making the opportunities available to Sandwell's employers and residents numerous.

All of these exciting opportunities are made possible by the work of the Future Skills instructors and the youth employment/apprenticeship advisers.

The current apprenticeships can be found on the team's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/futureskillssandwell
