Stourbridge academy scheme passed by chiefs
Controversial plans to convert a Stourbridge school into an academy have been approved by governors despite protests from campaigners.

More than 1,000 pupils have been forced to miss lessons as union members and teachers formed picket lines outside Redhill School to voice their concerns in recent weeks.
But headteacher Stephen Dunster today said the plans would now proceed with the conversion of the school, in Junction Road, by June 1.
In a statement today bosses said the decision had been taken after "lengthy and thorough process of consultation" with staff and parents.
