Around 99 per cent of students at Walsall College are "extremely satisfied" with their surroundings, a new survey has revealed.

The majority of students at the college rated the facilities there as "excellent".

It comes despite a national survey which claimed a quarter of teachers would not send their own children to the schools they teach in.

June Morrow, director of student journey at Walsall College, said: "The college prides itself on its world- class facilities which have been created in partnership with industry leaders and we are pleased that this is also positively reflected in the high level of satisfaction among students."

The £64 million Wisemore Campus, which opened in September 2009, includes fully-fitted workshops for business, art, health, public services and digital learning along with a performance area, hair and beauty training and restaurant.

The refurbished Green Lane campus is a centre for construction and has simulated workshop areas for trade. Walsall College's graduate academy hair and beauty salon has also recently been shortlisted for a prestigious award.
