Sue Homer has taught PE at The Kingswinford School since 1972. She has inspired generations of students within PE and Humanities. Sue has always believed in the importance of extra curricular sports and activities and has run countless tournaments and matches, encouraging students to take up sport as a healthy, life-long activity.
Some of Sue's fondest memories are of the cruises and skiing trips she enjoyed with staff and students. She hopes to spend more time with her family and is looking forward to having more freedom to navigate her barge on the waterways of the British Isles.
Angela Newton has been a stalwart member of the English Department since 1991. Her classes have had the benefit of outstanding and inspiring teaching in English Language and English Literature.
She led the production of Pirates of Penzance and two school magazines as well as organising many residential trips to Ingestre Hall. Angela has been a highly respected year 10 leader and has been instrumental in influencing the lives of many students over the years.
Angela is also looking forward to spending more time with her family, friends and dog. She also plans to spend more time in the countryside, intends to read lots of books and is planning a River Nile cruise.
Angela and Sue had their own special messages to pass on to students past and present: "Dance like no-one is watching, love like you'll never be hurt, sing like no-one is listening and live like it's heaven on earth" and "Aim high and strive to be the best you can."
