A Walsall primary school has been graded as "satisfactory" in its Ofsted report published today, reversing a downward trend in pupils' progress.

Bloxwich Primary School was judged as satisfactory in most areas and good with regard to pupils' behaviour and the extent to which they feel safe. Pupils' attainment was considered to be low for older children at the school.

In the report, Inspector Georgina Beasley said: "Learning and progress are improving securely and quickly, and this has led to marked improvements in attainment."

Inspectors sat in on 21 lessons at the High Street school.
