A school in Staffordshire which has turned itself around in the past four years is aiming to further improve its image within the local community.
The former Blake Academy Valley Technical College, which this month became the Staffordshire University Academy, is setting its sights high and wants parents and prospective pupils to find out more at an open evening tonight.
With principal David Evans at the helm since 2008, the school has already been turned around with improved results and pupil behaviour.
But Mr Evans is keen to improve its image within the local community and keep standards high.
"The school has been struggling with the legacy within the local community, and we would like them to see how well we have done already, and now we are an academy, what our plans are for the future," he said.
Mr Evans added they worked hard to challenge the pupils and get them to achieve the highest they could, well beyond the expectation's they had once they leave primary school.
