Best Ofsted report in history for Chancel Primary School

A Rugeley school is celebrating after receiving a high rating from inspectors.

An Ofsted inspection was carried out at Chancel Primary School in Wolseley Road on July 12 and 13.

Head teacher Jane Davies said the inspectors' report graded the school good overall with many outstanding features.

"It represents the best Ofsted report in the school's history and was one of the most positive reports in the Rugeley area," she said.

The inspectors were particularly impressed by the school's strong family atmosphere which was said to make pupils feel safe and happy to learn.

The early years foundation stage was rated outstanding. The school was also commended for giving an outstanding start to pupils' education in the foundation stage with a high priority given to personal, social and emotional development.
