A young cast wowed an audience of more than 100 people when they took to the stage at their Burntwood school.

Drama students at Chase Terrace Technology College performed the comedy Ernie's Incredible Illucinations by Alan Ayckbourn.

The 11 to 14-year-olds are working towards an Arts Council award and worked outside of school lessons to put the play on.

Rehearsals started in November, taking place once a week in the lunch hour.

Head of drama Dawn Maymand said: "They were fantastic. I'm so proud of them."
