Whittington Community Primary School, near Lichfield, is always looking for ways to contribute to the wider community.
The school, which has just under 300 pupils,was recently awarded full International School status.
Members of staff have recently visited Sweden to explore education provision there. Links have also been made closer to home, with some of the pupils taking part in visits to partner schools in a contrasting area.
In recent weeks pupils of all ages have been enjoying Forest School experiences and becoming involved in outdoor learning.
The new willow dome, completed with the help of parents and a local artist, has also caused great excitement.
Pupils are now busy looking at how energy can be saved in school and are working towards a fashion show using recycled materials in Whittington village.
The school works closely with the local community environmental group, WFEG, to ensure a better future for everyone. Head Sally Wilmot said: "The children are really happy and enjoy their learning."
To broaden their experiences, 72 pupils have recently been to Laches Wood for a week's outdoor education.
Pupils have also just participated in Heart FM's Have a Heart Appeal and were involved in a live broadcast.
And the school held a talent competition to mark Red Nose Day last Friday.
