A Stafford school has appointed a new headteacher, who will start her role at the beginning of the next academic year.

Brooklands School has promoted Mrs Steph Keenan from her role as deputy head, which she has held for four years, to lead the school.

Mrs Keenan said: "Brooklands is an exceptional school and the continued nurture of each and every child in accordance with their individual need will remain central to the ethos and philosophy of the School under my Headship.

"Brooklands is, quite rightly renowned, for its high educational standards and exemplary pastoral care of pupils.

"I look forward to taking up the Headship in September with equal enthusiasm and joy"
