Teaching jobs are to be axed at a new academy in the Black Country poised to undergo a £27 million rebuild, it was revealed today.

Staff at Grace Academy Darlaston have been warned 10 jobs, teaching and non-teaching, are likely to go in September as budgets tighten.

Workers at the Herberts Park Road school were told of the need for job cuts at a meeting with principal Nick Marshall.
