The return of pupils to a Kidderminster primary school has been delayed due to building work overrunning.
Offmore Primary School, in Wordsworth Crescent, will not open tomorrow as planned but on Monday. Mobile classrooms are being set up at the site.
The school is one of five in the Wyre Forest to be rebuilt under plans by Worcestershire County Council.
Preparations for the work, due to take place over the summer holidays, ground to a halt after the council called for a spending freeze for a funding review to take place.
While the authority announced cash was available for the project to continue last month, the uncertainty delayed contractors.
They have asked for extra time to complete work on the mobile classrooms, which will be used until the rebuild is completed.
County council officials today said letters had been sent out to parents telling them the school will now re-open on Monday.
They added that they will be liaising closely with the contractor to ensure the new deadline is met.
