Images show multi-million pound plans
This is the vision for the future of two schools in Sandwell, which are being rebuilt under a multi-million pound scheme to bring crumbling classrooms up to date.
Plans have now been submitted to transform Rowley Regis College and Holly Lodge High School in Smethwick, which are part of the £370m Building Schools For The Future scheme. The schools will have modern, glass-fronted buildings, complete with landscaping, parking and benches.
There will be cafe-style dining areas and in warmer weather pupils can enjoy the outdoor seating.
Sandwell councillor Ian Jones said £30m will be spent on the Rowley Campus and around £20m in Smethwick. "The facilities will be excellent and have the real wow factor," he said.
Rowley Learning Campus will be made up of St Michael's School, Westminster School and Whiteheath Education Centre while Holly Lodge High will be revamped to form Smethwick Learning Campus.
