'We are working tirelessly' - sixth suspect wanted and five arrested after Lozells death

Five men have been arrested after a man was killed in Lozells earlier this year, and cops are now appealing to find a sixth man who is wanted on suspicion of murder.

Ekrimh Mena’a, aged 39, died after being found with stab wounds on Hunters Road near the junction of Villa Road following a disorder just before 12.25am on Monday, September 30.

A second man in his 20s was also seriously injured.

Five men, aged between 21 and 38 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempt murder from addresses in Birmingham.

They remain in custody for questioning.

As part of the Force's enquiries, it is also appealing to the public for their help to trace a sixth suspect, Dahir Ali, aged 27 who is wanted on suspicion of murder.

The police said If you 'see him or know of his whereabouts' to call 999 immediately quoting 20/885260/24.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police, said: "Five men have been arrested after a man was killed in Lozells earlier this year as we also appeal to find a sixth man who is wanted on suspicion of murder.

"Ekrimh Mena’a, aged 39, died after being found with stab wounds on Hunters Road near the junction of Villa Road following a disorder just before 12.25am on Monday 30 Sept.

"A second man in his 20s was also seriously injured. Five men, aged between 21 and 38 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempt murder from addresses in Birmingham.

"They remain in custody for questioning. As part of our enquiries we are also appealing to the public for your help to trace a sixth suspect, Dahir Ali, aged 27 who is wanted on suspicion of murder.

"We understand the impact of the incident and the concern it has caused in the community. We are working tirelessly to establish the full circumstances and identify who was involved."
